Following the recent U16 National Championships, Sienna Burgess, Cameron Taylor and Makye Telfer were named in the U16 Aussie Diamonds Squad to compete in the 2020 Softball Australia International Friendship Series. The Squads will be invited to attend the tournament at the Redlands Softball Association facilities in Queensland from 3-10 July 2020 and will encompass the following:

Congratulation Zinzan Aumoe on your selection in the U14 Aussie Diamonds squad who will head to New Zealand 6 -14 April 2020 to compete in the Auckland Easter Classic. This tour will consist of training days, friendly games, sightseeing and the Easter Classic. Well done Zinzan!
Congratulations to Belinda Barnes (Wright) who has been inducted into the Hunter Sporting Hall of Fame. Belinda becomes the third Softballer to be inducted, after Linda and Natalie Ward. Belinda had a distinguished Softball career for both Australia and NSW.

GAME TIMES for the 2019-20 season
Stevenson Park is a council owned facility and therefore no glass or smoking is permitted anywhere on the park.
Please obey this regulation as a Ranger could be called to enforce this regulation.
This weekend 22/2 and next weekend 29/2. NDSA will be running some umpiring sessions during the 10am and 2pm time slots running through basic umpiring skills that will assist those who are participating in finals.
These will look at basic rules, positioning, signals and rotations for 2 and 3 person umpiring systems.
All NDSA members born in 2007, 2008 & 2009 are welcome to be part of the NDSA development squad.
This is a great opportunity for our junior players to receive specialist training. Coaching staff include current and ex State Players, as well as experienced coaches who have valuable knowledge to pass on.

When: Every Tuesday (26th Feb to 31st March)
Time: 5.15pm to 6.30pm

Concussion is a significant and complex health issue within the Australian sporting landscape at all levels of play. Sports Medicine Australia and the NSW Office of Sport have partnered to deliver a series of education workshops across NSW in 2020. These programs will provide those in attendance with a greater knowledge of concussion, its prevalence, signs and symptoms, recognition and management, return to play and recent research in the area.

NDSA is calling for nominations for players, coaches, managers, statisticians, and umpires in the following categories. The DOB shown are just a guide, all nominations will be considered.
U14 Female (DOB: 2007-2008)
Dates: 12 and 13 September 2020 at BISP
U14 Male (DOB: 2007-2008)
Dates: 19 and 20 September 2020 at BISP
Dates: 3, 4 and 5 October (long weekend) venue to be confirmed
U12s Male and Female (DOB: 2009-2010)
Dates: 7 and 8 November 2020 - venue to be confirmed
Dates: 14 and 15 November 2020 - venue to be confirmed
